U.N. Sponsors Palestinian Hate
Dear Friends,
Just when you think you've seen everything..
The United Nations is now sponsoring official Palestinian propaganda. I
suggest you check out the following U.N. sponsored website, which is
supposed to give one access to U.N. resolutions on Palestine. What it
does, though, is rewrite history. A following except:
"After looking at various alternatives, the UN proposed the partitioning
of Palestine into two independent States, one Palestinian Arab and the
other Jewish, with Jerusalem internationalized (Resolution 181 (II) of
1947). One of the two States envisaged in the partition plan proclaimed
its independence as Israel and in the 1948 war expanded to occupy 77 per
cent of the territory of Palestine. Israel also occupied the larger part
of Jerusalem. Over half the indigenous Palestinian population fled or were
expelled. Jordan and Egypt occupied the other parts of the territory
assigned by the partition resolution to the Palestinian Arab State which
did not come into being.
In the 1967 war, Israel occupied the remaining territory of Palestine,
until then under Jordanian.."
You get the picture? No mention that the Arabs rejected the U.N.
partition plan and attacked the newly formed Jewish State. No mention of
who started the Six Day War.As for Jerusalem, I recall Jordan taking over
the Old City, killing the Jews in the Jewish Quarter, refusing Jews access
to their holy places.
I believe the Palestinians are entitled to rewrite history for the
ignorant and the gullible. But when the U.N. uses its funding and its
reputation to support a such a hate campaign against one of its members,
the time has come to protest.
It's a disgrace. Please check it out for yourselves, and alert your
Senators and Congressmen to this blatant misuse of U.N. funding. If the
U.N. is no longer an impartial body dedicated to the resolution of world
conflict and is becoming an advocate of hate campaigns and
disinformation, we need to rethink all U.S. funding.
