The following brings you up to date on the
recent UN General Assembly vote (133 to 1) against Israel's claim to Jerusalem.
The U.S. abstained
-Canada voted against Israel's Claim to
any part of Jerusalem (having the gall to tell Israel that its
capital is Tel Aviv).
The exact full wording is available upon
request, but we have confirmed the facts through both the Consul
General of Israel in Toronto, & through Parliamentary
research in Ottawa. The relevant wording is:
"The UN General Assembly
recalling its' earlier (1994) decision in which it determined
that all legislative and administrative measures and actions
taken by Israel, the occupying Power, which had altered or
purported to alter the character and status of the Holy City of
Jerusalem, in particular the so-called "Basic Law" on
Jerusalem and the proclamation of Jerusalem as the capital of
Israel, were null and void
and must be rescinded forthwith". and recalling the earlier
decision of the UN Security Council not to recognize Israel's
1980 law proclaiming Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel (nor the
establishment by any nation of diplomatic missions at Jerusalem).
- Determines that the decision of
Israel to impose laws, jurisdiction and
administration on the Holy City of Jerusalem is
illegal and therefore null and void and has no
validity whatsoever,
- Deplores the transfer by some
States of their diplomatic missions to Jerusalem in
violation of Security Council resolution 478(1980),
and their refusal to comply with the provisions of
that resolution.
The formal vote was 133 (including Canada) to 1
('Israel standing alone). Thirteen nations abstained, including
the US (despite Congress's recent resolution to move the US
Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem). Another part of the
Resolution demands that Israel withdraw totally from the Golan
Heights (standing between Israel & Syria).

The climax and end of Gentile domination is at
the doors (Luke 21:24). The ungodly nations (Psalm 2) are about
to "reap the whirlwind" for their mistreatment of the
Jewish people while in their midst, and now even when back in the
Promised Land due to God's faithfulness. We need to warn the
nations, & particularly Canada's leaders & politicians,
as we did previously with respect to UN Resolution 3379, ("ZIONISM IS RACISM) which was eventually rescinded.
For Canada the stakes are high, as some seek to
divide our land too! If we partition Israel, and deny Jerusalem
to Israel what can we expect in Canada but similar division and
strife?
