  • What happens when you cave to blackmail
    Itamar Marcus & Barbara Crook - - December 28, 2006
Freeing terrorists by giving in to blackmail empowers an entire generation of terrorists with the knowledge that their actions have no lasting consequences, and that even the toughest Israeli prison sentence will never be permanent. They just have to wait for their fellow terrorists to kidnap another Israeli hostage, and kill a few more in the process. Then freedom will just be a matter of time.

  • A terrible silence
    David Horovitz - - December 28, 2006
Iran's recent Holocaust denial shindig prompted vast waves of outraged spluttering. Cotler isn't complaining. But why, he wonders, when so much concern is rightly directed at the misrepresentation of a past genocide, is so little devoted to preventing a new one? Neither the United Nations Security Council, nor the General Assembly, he notes, has ever so much as debated the Iranian president's avowed intent to destroy the Jewish state.

  • U.S. abandoning Israel?
    Hal Lindsey - - December 22, 2006
The recommendations issued by the Iraq Study Group and the way they are being received suggest a U.S. shift in a new direction – in favor of the Muslims. I believe the factor that most influenced this change is the presence of co-chairmen James Baker and Lee Hamilton on the panel. Their report accepts the Saudi contention that the conflicts in the Middle East are really the result of Israel not giving the Palestinians what they're asking for.
