    A Meaningful Gift!
  • An attack on us all
by Caroline Glick - Jerusalem Post - July 8, 2005  If either Washington or Jerusalem were willing to base their policies on reality rather than "visions," they would both come up with multiple options for fighting Palestinian terrorism and transforming Palestinian society. In so doing both would be making a great contribution to the cause of democracy and counterterrorism throughout the Arab world. But since both are committed to "solutions" that have no connection to the real world, the steps they adopt to achieve their goals are both counter-productive and dangerous.

  • Britain's 9/11
By David Horovitz - Jerusalem Post - July 7, 2005   Now in the UK, as then in the US, those who lust for death have struck at the heart of a civilized nation, exploiting trust and freedom to cause indiscriminate murder and mayhem. And now as then, one suspects, the response of the targeted nation will be resilience and a determined response, rather than capitulation. London is not Madrid.

  • No Jews Allowed!
By Yehezkel Laing - - July 4, 2005  Even for those who reject God's promise of the Land of Israel to the Jewish people in the Bible, and those who prefer to ignore the thousands of years of Jewish ownership of the Land, how can ethnic cleansing anywhere be justified?

  • A global test
Jerusalem Post - July 8, 2005   Morally, the people who in recent years attacked thousands of innocent people from New York, Moscow and Bombay to Madrid, Nairobi and Jerusalem, can claim as much as they want that they are merely out to further this or that particular cause; the fact is that theirs is not a response to any human being's actions or inactions, but an urge to eradicate God's most essential command to the crown of His creation: Thou shalt not murder.

  • Sowing & reaping
By David Dolan - - July 8, 2005  TIn recent years, Western demands for Israel to abandon territory to her mostly-Muslim Arab opponents have grown to a shrill crescendo. The chorus has been led by none other than George Bush and Tony Blair. In fact, their repeated calls for a Palestinian state to be established just outside of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv grew even louder after 9-11. The substantial evidence suggesting that such a state will become an al-Qaida-supported bastion of radical Islamic terror is completely ignored as politicians around the globe demand that Ariel Sharon rush to evacuate "occupied" land, and not only in the relatively isolated Gaza Strip.

  • Palestinian Chaos: It's Official
By Micah Halpern - - July 7, 2005  Now it's official. The Palestinian Authority has neither the desire nor the will to control the situation in Gaza after the Israeli withdrawal from the area and they cannot and will not assume control as Hamas attempts to garner newfound strength as a result of the withdrawal.

  • Analysis: Pullout likely followed by war
    Ryan jones - Jerusalem Newswire - July 6, 2005

A special session of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Tuesday left the impression that Israelis can expect to face increased Palestinian Arab terrorist warfare following and as a result of the planned withdrawal from Gaza and Samaria.

Military Intelligence chief Maj.-Gen. Aharon Ze'evi Farkash told the committee that anti-Jewish Arab violence was expected to drop immediately following implementation of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's “disengagement” plan.

However, shortly thereafter, “Palestinian” terrorism would reach unprecedented levels if additional Israeli concessions were not forthcoming, Farkash stated.

Farkash noted that the strategic goal of groups such as Hamas was to repeat the perceived terrorist victory in Gaza by manufacturing rockets in Judea and Samaria and launching artillery attacks on nearby major Israeli population centers.

An article on the official Hamas website backed up that assessment, pointing out the short distance between PLO-controlled towns in Judea and Samaria and the Israeli cities of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Netanya.

Sharon followed up Farkash's briefing by repeating that, in accordance with the US-backed Road Map, there would be no diplomatic progress towards peace following the disengagement until the PA fulfilled its security obligations.

But even top US officials, citing the current state of affairs and the PA's track record, expressed little hope the “Palestinian” leadership would live up to its side of the bargain.

“Overall, Palestinian performance in confronting violence has been far from satisfactory, and this is a real shortfall and area of concern,” Assistant Secretary of State David Welch told the House Foreign Relations Committee last week.

As PA compliance is clearly not expected by either Israel or Washington, and Sharon appears adamant he will finally stick to his guns regarding “Palestinian” reciprocity, there seems to be little Israelis can look forward to following disengagement but a terrorist war of attrition on a scale surpassing the last five years.
